Cleaning the fluted rollers of a hand-driven cider mill (C1870) to be used in mid October. This design of two rollers to crush the apples is shown in John Worledges 'Treatise of Cider' in 1691!

Cleaning up press No 4, which will be loaded with
crushed apples (pomace), wrapped in hessian cloths.
A full pressing will (hopefully) produce about
30 - 40 gallons of apple juice!
